Date: Wednesday, July 1
Location: Queen Elizabeth II Gardens, Wascana Centre
Start times: 3K/5K – 8:30 am


3K/5K: Start and Finish under the Run Regina arch in the Queen Elizabeth II Gardens in front of the Saskatchewan Legislative building in Wascana Centre. 3K runners will complete an out and back course. 5K runners will complete a course around Wascana Lake.


All children in strollers must be registered participants in the event and have their race numbers displayed, either on their shirts or on the stroller.

Please note: Athletes competing with Wheelchair – This race navigates over curbs, gravel paths and sidewalks making it unsuitable for wheelchair racing. It may be suitable for recreational competitors. Please consult further with Shawn Weimer should you have any questions.

3K/5K – registration includes commemorative medal, short sleeve tech shirt, and post-race snacks.

This is an untimed event. The big Run Regina clock will be at the finish line if you would like to take note of approximate finishing times.


Please pick up your race kit on Tuesday, June 30 at Moxie's Grill and Bar.

Late kit pick up: 7:00 – 8:00 am – Queen Elizabeth II Gardens

Parking: Street parking is available in the community adjacent to Wascana Centre (west of Albert St).

Bag Check: Baggage check will not be provided on site.

Washrooms: Limited indoor washrooms and portable washrooms are available near the start/finish line.

Hydration: Our official water supplier is Culligan Water with a single refreshment station on course.

First Aid: First aid will be available on site throughout the event.

Race Cancellation Policy: The RunRegina Canada Day Fun Run/Walk runs rain or shine, within the reasonable weather expectations for the beginning of a Saskatchewan July.  In the event that weather conditions are deemed by RunRegina organizers to be potentially hazardous to participants and volunteers, we reserve the right to briefly postpone or cancel the event outright. Cancellation of the event may take place either prior to the start of the event or at any time while the event is taking place.  A brief postponement and/or outright cancellation of the event may also take place for any other reason or situation wherein the RunRegina organizers feel conditions may be potentially unsafe for participants and volunteers.

The decision of the Race Director is final. 

In the event of cancellation for any reason - including but not limited to weather conditions - funds not required to cover race expenses will be donated to the RunRegina designated charities.
